'Taking Your Next Steps in Surgery' is next running on 6th November and then again on 24th April at Cardiff International White Water Centre.
You will receive 7 hours CPD for your RCVS requirements - in small group format with lectures from a very approachable and down to earth Advanced Practitioner in surgery - with the opportunity along the way for case discussions and questions.
In person CPD gives you the opportunity to engage and ask questions with our advanced practitioners, as well as meeting peers and colleagues. Our in-person CPD courses give you the chance to learn directly from experienced vets, ensuring every session is interactive and clinically relevant. Whether you’re sharpening your diagnostic approach or refining surgical techniques, you’ll leave each workshop with skills you can confidently apply in practice.
Snacks, coffee, tea and refreshments will be available throughout the day. Lunch provided by our favourite local Italian - Calabrisella!
Every course is led by an RCVS Advanced Practitioner (or higher). This means you’re not just ticking a requirement — you’re learning from someone who has achieved advanced status in their field and understands the challenges vets face in daily practice. Our goal is to provide high-quality, relevant and engaging CPD that helps you deliver better patient care while also building your professional confidence.
Jonny is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small animal Surgery with 10 years of surgical experience - but remembers how it felt at earlier stages in his own surgical development. He has been described as 'very engaging', 'personable', 'down-to-earth' and 'motivating'.
It is aimed at vets less experienced with surgery, who want to build their surgical decision-making and confidence to tackle more procedures in general practice.
Spaces still available for our 6th November CPD Day
